IS A PROSTHODONTIST? |
Prosthodontists
specialize in smiles. Prosthodontists
receive three additional years of ADA accredited
training after completing dental school. In
fact, they are 1 of only 9 dental specialties
recognized by the ADA. ("Cosmetic Dentistry"
is not a recognized specialty.)
This additional training
makes
prosthodontists experts in treating the whole
mouth when there is a complex problem involving
more than one tooth, or if you have high aesthetic
expectations in the replacement or restoration
of teeth.
